Kirklees Council has made available funding to the GBN to develop its capacity to help businesses in Kirklees to reduce their environmental impact and to save money. The new Green Business Advisor will give businesses advice on all environmental matters.

This new position will allow the GBN to perform environmental audits on any Kirklees company who requests one. An audit report will then be prepared which will give suggestions on how businesses can prevent pollution and how they can reduce energy, waste, transport and water use. The report will also advise on any environmental legislation that applies to the business.

The new Green Business Advisor will also further develop the GBN’s Environmental Toolkit, and will produce specialist toolkits for different sectors, for example manufacturing, retail and offices. To find out more how we can help your business, please contact us
