The GBN’s Project Manager, Graham Wiles has become the winner of the prestigious Marks and Spencer Sieff Award for Yorkshire and Humberside. The award is for individuals based in the community who have successfully collaborated with business to benefit society.

Graham received his award at the Yorkshire and Humber Business in the Community Awards for Excellence Gala Dinner at Leeds United Football Club on the evening of Thursday 12 th October.

The Sieff award was introduced in 2002 to coincide with Business in the Community’s 20th Anniversary and the retirement of pioneering corporate leader and founder member, Sir David Sieff of Marks & Spencer. This Award pays tribute to the long history of corporate community involvement that the Sieff family has promoted.

The Marks & Spencer Sieff Award was presented to Graham for being an outstanding community individual who has demonstrated an understanding of the role that business can play in creating healthy and successful communities and who has effectively collaborated with the corporate sector to benefit both society and business.
