The ABLE project has been selected as the winner of the Innovation Award 2004, through its partnership with East Wakefield Primary Care Trust. The award, sponsored through Reed Healthcare Communications, was awarded to the ABLE project despite fierce competition from high quality entries from all over the UK.

“The judges were impressed by the truly innovative nature of the ABLE project, which is cost-effective and build on partnerships caross the local community and local businesses. The initiative also scored points for addressing many organisations’ priorities and providing demonstratable benefit for patients.”

The award will be celebrated in a special issue of ‘Doctor’ and in a special commemorative brochure.
